"I had two people tell me that this hotel was amazing on the inside but old and not too nice on the inside. I’m afraid I have to disagree, it was amazing both inside and out. It’s has clearly been recently redone and the lobby, rooms, and restaurants were all great. We stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony, so I cannot speak to the windowless rooms.. which I suspect may have been the source of the other comments. The property has history, is beautiful, and I highly recommend it."
"The hotel exceeded my expectations. Judging by some of the previous reviews, I was expecting a dated and small room with poor breakfast, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Our room was big and looked like it had been recently renovated. It had a Japanese toilet. The shower was great with good water pressure. The breakfast options were extensive. Staff were kind enough to call a restaurant for me to make a reservation for that evening. They offer a free shuttle to-and-from the local station (we didn't use this but good to know that they had it). I was nervous when I arrived that its right next to the highway, but we didn't hear it once. I recommend staying here. "
"I stayed for a week here, the staff was professional from start to finish, my room was well maintained and the amenities were worth using, the location was also convenient as it's across the street from the MRT. Special mention to Rachel, Moe and Jane. These three were very friendly and helpful to my stay here and made my stay at Taiwan even better. "

"Great location. I stay here every time I come to Taipei . Hotel is not fancy , but it has everything I needed. Convenient location, has big enough gym, sauna, steam room and pool. 7-11 store is right at the first floor and the clean self service laundry room ."
