"Large room and very convenient hotel location with plenty of free parking around the property. Bathroom is a bit strange: toilet is in a separate room which feels like an airplane bathroom. Large bath tub AND shower in the bathroom, so why the couldn’t be a toilet instead of the bath???
Air conditioning did not cool the room at all, but staff provided a floor standing unit which helped a lot"
"Room was small but functional. Bathroom tiny but again functional. Number was missing off the room door, and for some reason half of the electrica including room lighting was turned off early in the morning. It actually came on after I had finished my shower so at least then the light and extractor started working.
Parking is accessed some distance away but is immediately under the hotel, well lit and feels secure.
The hotel was very good value and a 25 mins walk in to the city centre which is beautiful.
Would defo book again for the value."
"Lovely room, very comfy bed, loved the balcony overlooking the bridge and the river. We had the breakfast which was good value - nice it was served on a tray, we could take to our room or we decided to have it outside.
We'd have liked some seats here and there in the island to sit by the river."
"Overall a good stay- I diligently look at reviews before booking hotels and so I feel it’s important to provide detailed reviews myself. As you probably know, 4 star hotels in Europe are not actually 4 stars. I already know that so I manage my expectations. The positives of this hotel for our four night stay: close to train station, king sized very comfortable bed and pillows, room was very clean and comfortable.
The negatives for us: no coffee maker in room. They only provide a kettle and 2 packs of instant coffee. There is no mini fridge, despite advertising a fridge. There is, as described to me by the front staff, a drinks fridge in the room that is not meant to keep things cold. What does that even mean? When you’re on a long trip like us, a small fridge for us to store juice and yoghurt makes a big difference. At this price point, it should be expected.
Staff were indifferent, sometimes friendly, other times not."
