We were unsure what time we would arrive, so opted not to reserve dinner, but were kindly accommodated when we arrived after our long drive.
The owners welcomed us warmly, and we enjoyed a gourmet 4 course menu for dinner.
The patio is a lovely place to relax, and the room was very clean and comfortable, with high-end fittings.

The Hotel Jama is absolutely fabulous! Even though it was built in 1971, it is beautifully refurbished inside with elegant lounge areas and a lovely bar. Our room felt brand new - the whole hotel is even better than it looks on the website - and it looks pretty nice on there to begin with! The staff at check in was great. the room was excellent. the casino was an added attraction for my cousin. The food could have been somewhat fresher; the waitstaff was a bit rough. We spoke english/spanish .. they did little to be supportive.
Newly renovated , everything you may need including small kitchenette with dishes and cookware. However no need to cook as the restaurant has a chef who cooks delicious dinners in the restaurant eight there most nights. Breakfast also so good with fresh squeezed OJ and fresh eggs cooked to preference. Able to enjoy sights of Slovenia and Croatia from this home base.
Great hotel that isn't far from Trieste. Parking is for free on the street, but if you arrive in the evening parking is available very close. Room was cozy and will stay here again in the future.

Irene at the front desk was most helpful to me. She saw me struggling with my roller board to get it up the front steps. She left the desk & came down to help me. I thought that was so special.
