"Comfortable stay nestled in a beautiful area with two gorgeous lakes in walking distance. Room was comfortable. Dinner was a bit pricy but good quality and the staff were all very kind. No vale was present to help me with my bags, which were pretty heavy walking up flights of stairs but I guess if I had asked them for help they would have asked someone to come."

Restaurant are fine, pricy like everything in Switzerland. Stuff was not really nice, kinder neglecting us, probably because we were with small children. Not bad, but for this price schuld have been much better…"

"Property was in a beautiful location a little out of the way but was driving so wasn’t an issue. The lady on check in was very helpful and also kindly gifted us a drinks voucher for that evening. The room was massive, even had a sitting area, very clean, slightly dated but for what we paid found it very good value for money. Would highly recommend this hotel."

"Hotel Hecht is an excellent Appenzell hotel for travelers. We stayed three nights. Our room was recently updated and on the quiet back side of the building. Breakfast was included so we started each day with a good self serve continental breakfast. Because we were staying for three nights we were provided a “Appenzell Visitor Card”. "Super hotel as a base to explore Liechtenstein, there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel that takes you to Malbun up in the mountains or down to Vaduz. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, self check in was swift and easy and the breakfast was very nice. There is also a super clean sauna area downstairs that we loved relaxing in after a day out exploring. The staff were super friendly and helpful, could not recommend more highly! "
