This is a new property. The rooms are sized generously. Parking is either below the building or across the street. The location is great with restaurants and coffee shops across the street. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely stay at the Sand Bar Cottage. The location was perfect. Chris and his staff were very professional and pleasant. Our room & bathroom were spacious. Our only negative comment would be that we did not receive housekeeping every day. The bed was never made up nor was the trash removed, at a minimum. The room fees were upwards of $425/per night. Housekeeping should be provided.
The Ivy Manor Inn was a great find for us. We were greeted in the lot by Orville who was happy to help with our bags and lead us our check in where two glasses of bubbly were poured as we got our key and moved into our spacious and very comfortable first floor room. Breakfast was plenty for two people on the go. Don't pass up the blueberry muffins. Seriously. Lovely remote area just outside of North Acadia Park. Spacious rooms friendly staff. The only negative I could find would be if you had trouble with stairs you do have to go upstairs to get to your bedroom so if you have trouble with steps that might factor in to your choosing this place, otherwise we wish we had more time to have spent there.
A great Inn. A little bit of a walk to Bar Harbor (about three quarters of a mile) but much quieter. Acadia entrance about a mile. Breakfast very good, staff and cleaning very good. Very happy with our hotel choice.
Beautiful old building. Easy access. Stephan and staff were very friendly and helpful and you could tell they love their job! The food - oh my gawd sooo good!!! Breakfast daily and afternoon/evening tea as well!! Towels are so fluffy!! Would absolutely return!!!
Loved it! Went with my girlfriend and her brother and it was conveniently located in Bar Harbor, within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. It's also easily drivable to Acadia National Park. Would recommend!
Words don't do justice to Quimby Inn and Suites. A Stunning period property on one of the main strips in Bar Harbor. It provides an excellent base to explore the town, Island and Acadia National Park. The staff were polite and knowledgeable and were always on hand to help. The rooms were spacious and comfortable meeting all of our needs. We will most definitely back and can't speak highly enough of the hotel and its staff.
The room was big and comfortable, all amenities needed, breakfast was delicious!! Such a nice experience, like home but with hotel amenities!
The only thing I would suggest is a full length mirror , there was none in the room and us ladies need that!
