Chateau De Maraval was just the castle experience we wanted from the medieval region from France. We were on a girl's trip and were provided two rooms that were beautifully furnished and stocked up.
All the interiors was tastefully done. Outside of the castle is medieval but the rooms were with modern amenities. It was like living the best of two worlds. The property is well maintained. This is a gorgeous manor house in the heart of the Dordogne Valley next to the river. The views are spectacular and the gardens are beautiful. Be sure to get the breakfast because it is a feast of local flavors. Wonderful hosts who can make excellent dining recommendations. Worth the money for a once in a lifetime experience.

Great place tucked away with all the dordogne towns quickly accessible by car. Loved the property and pool. Paul and Marilou are exceptional mangers of the property.
Excellent location, superb rooms, very quiet despite being next to the vibrant central square. The breakfasts were of exceptionally good quality . Highly recommend to stay.
The staff was very welcoming and more than helpful. When we found ourselves in a bind because we needed fuel and the only service stations open were automated (which don't accept American credit cards), the hostess went with us and used her personal credit card to get us on the road again. (We paid her back with cash.)
Lovely location quite rural farming area. Good breakfast and cordial and friendly host. I would recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind being in quite rural setting.
