My fiancee and I only stayed one night at Chateau de La Riviere, and I wish we had stayed longer. Communications with Alice, one of our hosts, were clear and easy. Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! The historical flavor of the property made us feel like we were back in the 17th century. We were served an excellent multi-course meal by Chef Carole, who not only prepped and prepared our meal,...

The rooms were very spacious and very appointed as well as the baths. The only downside was there was no shower. The chef at the property prepared dinner for us the evening we arrived and it was excellent. The dinner included several small desserts, aperitif, wine, salad and entrée. The food was really outstanding. The Chateau was a little hard to find and was a very kilometers out of town, so we didn't have a chance to see the town.
