I stayed there during Olomouc half marathon event and the hotel made our stay very pleasant by providing bottle of water, protein bars and discount on special marathon menu in their restaurant. We came to Olomouc with a group of summer abroad students. The Clarion hotel is a much upgraded version of a previous hotel named Sigma. It is new, clean and modern. The hotel is just opposite the train station and about 25 minutes walk or four tram stops from the upper and lower squares (the old center of Olomouc). The staff spoke English and was helpful. I arrived after midnight. I was welcomed by a very nice and welcoming lady, I later found out she is security. I was rapidly accomodated in a very nice, clean, and big room with a larger than normal tub. Everything was sparkling clean and brilliant. The lady adviced me where to park and alerted me about the free made to order breakfast. I chose the eggs and bacon platter. Had a great time at this hotel! We were on a trip driving through the entire Czech Republic and booked this hotel an hour before arriving. We got a good discount through hotels.com and saved a bunch of money by not booking through the hotel directly. The spa was really fantastic. The room was beautiful and very well kept. Staff were excellent the only downside was that the restaurant was not serving and à la carte menu while we were there and most of the options on the tasting menu were not that...
