"This is an absolutely charming inn attached to a pub and restaurant. The room is cozy and updated. The restaurant food is local, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Sunday roast was just delicious. You’re in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a number of beautiful walks/hikes right outside the door."

"Bathroom very small and tile grout could benefit from a good clean. Staff lovely very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful food service very efficient. Lovely relaxing stay. Parking could be an issue at busy times. Would recommend a stay here"

"The Black lion is a lovely pub in the heart of Richmond. Our stay was only for one night, but we had a great time. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was big, with plenty of space to get changed, a nice shower and a comfy bed. The bar was lively and drinks were reasonably priced. The cocktails are excellent and 2 for £12 we didn't eat at the pub, but the food looked nice. Richmond in north Yorkshire is worth visiting for sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again."
