Conveniently located, easy drive to Cambridge and all tourists sites. Comfortable bed and nice clean showers. The atmosphere was lovely and the A/C worked perfect in midst of the heat wave.
Loved this place. Gorgeous little pub with large rooms in separate annex. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating, rooms were beautiful, clean and cosy and food (we had dinner and breakfast) was delicious. Highly recommend for anyone staying in or around Newmarket area.
I’ve stayed at the Novotel many times over the last few years when I visit Cambridge. The amenities like the pool and gym are excellent, the rooms are well equipped, modern and comfortable and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.
Excellent modern property. Not real easy to get to reception area if you’re driving. A bit confusing when you pull up and it’s a busy corner to be confused.
Excellent One night stopover whilst visiting for an event in the area , I arrived at 8 pm & ordered a very well kept local Ale , A Sirloin steak which was delicious washed down with an excellent merlot .
The annexed accommodation was spacious and very comfortable with luxurious bedding , The ensuite bathroom was very well laid out with a huge shower that was excellent .
Breakfast was delicious and was cooked by the charming owner.
Fun lovely spot. Food was delicious at the restaurant and the breakfast was lovely. They had gluten free options which I appreciated. Nice location with many hike nearby.
The room was clean and the staff were excellent. There is a large sitting room off the reception area that is a great place to meet people or just rest with your party during the visit, which is fantastic. The only challenge was the fire alarm in the room had a VERY bright light that ultimately had to cover with a towel to get off to sleep. Also, the windows aren't great at drowning out the road noise, which is a common issue in hotels on these busy roads, so be sure to bring ear plugs with you....
The Packhorse Inn was a very pleasant inn to stay at for my business trip! The room itself was well air conditioned and the amenities were very comfortable. Any extras needed such as ironing board, etc were readily available from the staff. Had breakfast and supper multiple evenings of my trip and always enjoyed them throughly. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. The inn itself is located next to a quiet and quaint village which is a short few minute drive into Newmarket which is loaded...
A lovely local place to stay with king size beds, air conditioning, mini fridge, morning coffee, fabulous showers, high ceilings, a great staff. All tucked away behind an outdoor area and a wonderful traditional English pub.
Lovely, spacious room, with great A/C, which was well needed during a recent hour spell! The bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. And breakfast was great!
