From the time I arrived, I felt comfortable. Security was in the parking lot to ensure the property was secure and people not staying at the hotel were escorted away. The check in process was very quick and easy. All staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, stocked with all items needed and comfortable. The Nepali culture intertwined with eminent hospitality at the Basera Boutique Hotel. I highly recommend this as the first hotel of your stay in Kathmandu, as you recover from jetlag. The streaming services on the TV will help you feel like you're at home, and there's a rooftop pool and restaurant with a complimentary cultural show so you don't have to leave the hotel to have some low-key fun and uniquely Nepali entertainment!

This is the 5th hotel of its price class I have stayed in when visiting Kathmandu over the years, and it is by far the best. Comfortable and clean!! Helpful owners and staff, homey. Brand new. The owners know how to make people comfortable and are eager and helpful to do so. They are building more rooms on the upper floors.
