Ocean Spray is the place to stay if you are looking for escape from the tourist area of the island. You will need a car if staying at this location or take the bus which is what we did. The bus was very easy to navigate once the staff explained how to ride it and we used the bus every day. There is a small grocery store up the road a short walk for any essentials needed. The staff were all great, but Julie-Ann and the security guard were exceptional!! They were kind, helpful, and went above and beyond with making my stay enjoyable. I traveled alone and had a few problems that they both didn't hesitate to assist me with. :) The hotel doesn't have an elevator so you may not want to pack heavy. It's located close to restaurants, the beach, bus stop and other events etc. The room was a decent size and clean.

This was by far the best vacation I have ever been on (which has been quiet a few). The resort was 15 minutes from the airport, it was stunning with amazing views of the ocean, beach was clean, the staff was extremely accommodating and everyone seemed happy to be there and to help you. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this really cute apartment. Our apartment was #15, and it became our little home. The air conditioning and fan were welcome as the mornings in B'dos became warm quite quickly. The staff was very helpful and resolved our TV issues within minutes. Mrs. Brown is a sweetheart and made us feel very welcomed. The apartments are within minutes to a main road with restaurants, banks, super markets, and the beach and board walk.
It was close to the main road which makes it very easy to get a local bus and go to the city or beach and also very helpful receptionist. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your traveling to Barbados.

The Abidah was a wonderful getaway for me. I traveled solo and wanted absolute peace and quiet and it provided that. The staff were very friendly, the drinks were great and the food was good.
My only suggestion is more variety of food during the week. Also, have some snacks available if someone wants a snack in between meals.
