Very clean, neat, & the staff was absolutely fantastic!! Food was great! Oh the saunas were so so so relaxing.
The only reason I checked off the area outside of the property being unsafe is that Ecuador was under marshall law so we did not feel safe outside the hotel. BUT WE FELT TOTALLY SAFE & COMFORTABLE INSIDE!!!
Did I mention how friendly the staff were!!!!!

REVIEW - My son and I were flying out of Quito and needed a place to stay the night before our flight. Unfortunately, we got super sick from something we ate in the Galapagos the day before and could barely function when we arrived at Quito Airport...
the place is a piece of paradise. Even though it is a little ways off, it is worth it.
If you like nature and luxury at the same time, this is the place to be. Make sure to ask the staff to turn on the fireplace.
The hotel resides in one of the most beautiful places I have ever experienced. The grounds are immaculately maintained, tge architecture is gorgeous, the spaces uncrowded and relaxed. Places like this only exist in fairy tales. The staff is friendly and efficient, the rooms large, well-appointed, and comfortable. The on-site restaurant is very good too. I hope to spend another vacation there.
We had to evacuate Quito emergently during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic. Unable to get a flight that night, we purchased nights at the Hotel Alpachaca for $20 / night / room. Turning onto the dirt road, we were nervous. Happily, the hotel was well built, clean, and staffed by friendly people. The next morning they served us a breakfast of bread and cheese sandwiches, cooked-to-order eggs, and tea or instant coffee. We tried to pay the $2.50 per person breakfast charge, and they refused to...
Phenomenal property and staff who went the extra mile to make you feel at home and also assist with all your needs during stay. Complementary SUV ride back to airport was a special touch. Classy staff and classy hotel - will recommend to all business associates and clients.
I somehow thought this would be closer to the airport, but it was about a 30 minute drive. Nevertheless, Llalo was very clean, safe, professionally operated and the breakfast on the porch was ideal. The rates were appropriate for the lodging. I highly recommend it.
It is a family run business including taxi pick up and drop off at the airport which is very nice and comforting.
As I entered the premises I was truly impressed with the layout and cleanliness of the establishment. My room was clean and comfortable as well. Very nice place to stay near the airport. If I travel through Quito again that is definitely my place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for clean, comfortable and inexpensive place while passing through Quito....
We stayed here one night on our way home from the Galapagos Islands. It was a short 10-minute taxi ride ($10) from the airport. This is a secure (locked gate) B&B set on about 1 acre of lovely gardens. We arrived there tired and hungry, she prepared us a simple but decent dinner for $9/pp, an early breakfast at 5:45 am and a ride to the airport at 6am for our early flight home. She was very accommodating - just what we needed at a good price.
Considering the prices in the area, this hotel was a great value. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Close to the airport as well. We had two rooms and stayed for two separate dates and there were no issues. Seems like a family-owned hotel (but not sure). Either way, it is safe pick and very fair price.
Beautiful interesting place to stay. Felt very welcomed. Lovely comfortable large room. Enjoyed the hot tub, the views, the fascinating tour of its history and builders. Delicious food served graciously. As they say, the road is very rough getting there but it was no problem for our driver. Hiked around the area and sat by the huge fireplace. We loved it!!

Stayed one night for a layover in Quito. Very close to the airport, simple amenities but enough for one night. They offered free shuttle service to the airport, I just gave the driver a tip. Would recommend for airport layovers.
