This place is phenomenal. Brilliant service. They celebrated my mother’s birthday so nicely! They made an eggless, organic dessert for her and gave her a nice hairdo!
Great location, nice big space, modern furnishings. Sometimes it took awhile to get a response to messages but the woman who was on site at times was super helpful when we ran into her. Our balcony door didn’t work properly so we were unable to sit at the cute table and chairs outside. But overall a great spot and would definitely recommend it.
This hotel is located in the Piraeus Port area, so you experience the ambiance of an active port and big city, yet far enough away that our street was remarkably quiet. It was close to our cruise ship terminal (gate), which was a priority for us. Transportation to terminal was included in the room charge. We received door to door service. We stay at Athens Gate every time we visit Athens. The staff is wonderful. They are friendly, helpfu, and always give great recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, etc.we have stayed at the Gate often and have never been disappointed.
Room was clean and well appointed. Ac worked well and the kitchenette is nice to have when traveling (sometimes you just want to order in or have left overs).

We came to Athens for a 5 day visit of the city (not of the islands). Found the hotel to be very nice but for a visit of Athens it is a bit far. The metro is a 10 minute walk and then a 20 minute ride to the center of Athens (Monastiraki Metro). This being said, the value is super as the prices are very good and if you dont mind the distance, you will love this hotel. We plan to visit again but this time go to the islands. Then this hotel will definitely be our option.
The Sofitel Athens airport is a little pricey but you are paying for the convenience.

This is the 2nd hotel we stayed at in Athens. The location is EXACTLY where you want to be to access all of Athens and to feel emerged into some authentic culture.
