The hotel directed me to use the Polish tram system, to a location Gdansk Technical university 10 kilometers away, thereby saving me at least 100 USD in three days of non stop travel all over Gdansk, and the morning breakfast was a REAL meal, which turned into my daily MAIN meal. We loved our stay in Gdansk at the Podewils. It is slightly out of the main historic district, and hence very quiet, although the main district is available with a 5 minute walk. The staff and ownership of the hotel and restaurant are very friendly and eager to help in all ways. I was one night stay at the Hotel Impresja and I was really happy. The hotel is really clean and the room really comfortable. The people from reception was incredibly helpful in all aspects. To go to this hotel from the airport, you have to take a bus number 110 heading to Galeria Baltika. Once you are there, you have to take tram number 12 and get out in Uniwersatet Medyczny. Is less than five minutes walking. Perhaps the only thing against the location is that it should be bigger announcement...
