Fairmont El San Juan Hotel

"Our stay started bad! We booked a partial ocean room. We got a room right next to the elevator with an ok view on the 8th floor. As soon as we got in the room, we could hear the elevator going up and down constantly. My husband was playing golf early in the morning and it was going to be impossible to sleep with the elevator going up and down constantly. We asked for a room away from the elevator and got downgraded to a room in the 3rd floor with no view because they had no other rooms available. But at least we could sleep peacefully. That was a bummer. But they compensated us for the downgrade after I talked to them. Other than that, the staff was great, helpful, and went out of their way to help us. They even provided a room for us at night after we had checked out to shower and get ready before heading to the airport since we had hung out at the beach all day. Hotel, pool and beach staff were all great. Food at the restaurants was decent. The lobby ambiance was the best! The front desk was very nice and helpful. I loved that they provide reusable water bottles that you can keep and have water stations through out the resort. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"Our stay at the Condado Vanderbilt was absolutely wonderful. The staff was friendly, the amenities and restaurants were fabulous. The location was really nice as well. Lots of stores and restaurants in walking distance. One downside was waiting for ice to be brought to the room, as they do not have an ice machine for guests."

"We had a great 3 night stay here. The property was very nice. Easy in/out parking. Plenty to do/see/eat within walking distance. Had a private salsa dance lesson on the beach. Live music down at the lobby bar. Will definitely stay here again."

"We enjoyed the location within old San Juan; it is centrally located to walk around with many choices to restaurants. If you are driving it is not easy to find street parking. There is a nearby parking garage that charges $25 for 24 hours. It's a small hotel; the front desk is very welcoming. Our room was clean and we had no issues besides our bedding feeling a little damp, but they gave us dry sheets to replaces with no problems. The bathroom was clean, but they need to do a little updating to give it a better look and feel."
