I recently stayed at the Embers for one night and wish I had a longer stay. the location was very private and beautiful. the area around it in Blowing Rock is great, with lots of dining options. the rooms are spacy. I had the single king size room . the bathrooms and showers are just beautiful and they have all the essentials you need. Very Clean, beds are comfortable, coffee water & expresso available in your room. robes and slippers are provided

We spent 6 nights extending our South Carolina beach vacation to the Mountains. The hotel exceeded all of our expectations! Every bit from the size of the room. The price. The amenities. The staff. Very impressed with the work ethic from the young people some who were college students.so close to downtown and the campus. We watched an amazing football game that ended in overtime with the hometown winning. Just a wonderful vacation. The room was spotless and staff went about their jobs...

My wife and I were just looking to get away somewhere new. West Jefferson is a nice drive from Charlotte and the town is very welcoming with great restaurants. We spent time downtown W. Jefferson shopping/eating, then traveled to adjacent towns for a litte more sites. If you're traveling to West Jefferson, I definitely recommend staying at Buffalo Tavern. (And each room has a bathroom. Though it's not seen in the pictures.) We'll be back - planning to add W. Jefferson and Buffalo Tavern...
