The Woodfords Inn was perfect for our two night stay to see the Fall colors in the Hope Valley and Grovers Hot Springs area! The Inn has been completely remodeled since I last stayed there 15 years ago. The rooms are clean and lovely and the owner is a very nice and thoughtful gentleman. We will definitely stay in the future!
Location, location, location! Right on the beach. Literally. Sweeping views of Lake Tahoe.
Outdoor amenities include picnic tables, barbecues, beach volleyball, fire pit and swimming pool.
Rooms are comfortable, with a kind of a cabin theme.
Older strip mall next door features a ramen joint, Mexican restaurant and cannabis shop if that's your thing. Large CVS drugstore and Heidi's pies also. Supermarket less than half a mile away. Short easy drive to stateline and all the shops and...
The room was very spacious and clean. This hotel was extremely quiet and in a beautiful location. We loved our stay here!
I only have one suggestion of hotel staff… please consider putting a large trash can outside in the gazebo area! We among others enjoyed sitting under it to look at the lake and relax, but in the wind lots of things were blowing around loudly that shouldn’t have been there… mainly about 6 old beer cans.if a trash can is there I think this issue would be less likely 🙂...
We loved staying here! Unfortunately we had a last minute change to our stay but Dana was able to accommodate us and made sure we were taken care of. The room was spacious and we appreciated the tea and coffee service. Super comfortable bed after a long road trip. Very convenient to the Whole Foods and area restaurants. Incredibly quiet room. Would definitely stay here again!
This is a family owned lodge, and yes it feels like home, the owner is always helpful and friendly and run the business with hearts and effort!
Visited there last weekend! During the winter storm, wow it's been a long time since last time I saw this much snow, so fun, but almost got stuck in Tahoe LOL, 50/88/80 were all closed and waited 3 hour to get out.
And yes the experience was exceptional. (isn't S'more in heavy snow exceptional? Dig my car out of snow is so fun)
some fun facts: There...
We needed a place to stay for the night where we could park our truck and RV safely while getting a good night’s rest and a meal. This place checked all of the boxes for us, including accommodations for the smoker so he didn’t have to keep meandering through the halls to get outside to smoke. So rare these days to find a hotel that still has any dedicated smoking rooms!
Desk staff was friendly and efficient at check-in and we found our room easily with her specific instructions. So appreciated...
First time traveling with our baby and we were pre-assigned a room in a quiet corner of the property; needless to say it was perfect and greatly appreciated!
Had a great time staying at Sierra Inn during a fishing trip. The rooms are renovated and everything was clean and working well. It's been very quiet and peaceful during the night and you can hear the river flowing outside. Behind the motel there's a beautiful patio area with grill and picnic tables right by the river which we gladly used during our stay. Would stay here next time I'm around the area.
We stayed at this property 6 years ago when it was affiliated with our timeshare. We liked it then, but we really loved our stay this time. Love the ambiance, but not crazy about additional charge for parking & additional charge for breakfast. Those were not charged before. But, overall, it was a great stay.
This is my second time here. We had a great time. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. It was just what we needed for our time off away from work.
I loved that the property was within walking distance to literally everything! We walked to the state line for the events attended.
The Inn was clean and didn’t have any strong smells like chemicals cleaners or even an old musty smell. I don’t care where I stay so long as the room and bed I sleep in is clean!
I based my decision to stay here on the past reviews of how clean the rooms were. I cannot stress that enough. Nothing worse than a smelly or overpowering smell of cleaners.
Also it...
From our greeting at the door to warm goodbye at the end of our stay, Linda and Johan made our stay sensational. We experienced all the things that you would expect at a great B&B (comfy bed, tourist info, clean bathroom, etc). What made our stay amazing was the excellent food, real conversations with them, and above-and-beyond service. Part of me is sad that we had to leave this wonderful place. However, we are both happy about having found this gem of comfort and hospitality and plan on...
We stayed here for 1 night, after skiing in Kirkwood. Loved the hotel. The rooms are super spacious and eveything was to our liking. Will defn stay here again rather than south lake tahoe while skiing in Kirkwood.
