Great stop after a day on the road. We checked in and we're told complimentary appetizers and drinks were being served and the entire lobby smelled of fresh baked cookies. Very welcoming.
This is a great place to stay. It's the second time we have stayed here, and have another weekend in February already booked. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The bed is comfortable. Large tv in room is easy to use. Plenty of parking, and well lit. Easy access off the road.
The stay was quiet, comfortable and overall clean. I was disappointed that there was a $10.95 charge for WiFi. What?! I can go to Dunkin Donuts for free WiFi, but not a Hilton?
I would definitely book this hotel again. The customer service was phenomenal Rebecca & Mozan, were just super amazing. The breakfast was very delicious. Its super close to a plaza where there is a target, ross, dicks sporting goods. Just to name a few. Coopers ale house food was good as well. I enjoyed my stay very much.
The parking lot was well-lit and convenient. I arrived after 11pm and liked that I had to be let into the lobby by the front desk staff to check in. Clean room, great lay-out of the room, Iiked the multi-use tubes of shampoo and body wash in the shower (instead of all those little bottles). Also liked the flooring; no carpet.
It's a beautiful mansion, adornerd with unique and perfectly chosen furniture, chandeliers, tapestry and artful pieces. I believe its a former institution of some sort. The staff was lovely and charming. Thank you for your hospitality!!!
We stayed at the "sister property" (the O'Henry) several times but had not stayed at the Proximity. We tried but COVID or one thing or another led to not making our trip.
We had met the original owners and then knew about their transfer to the employees. What a terrific thing for an employer to do and what a great deal for the employees. I use to live in Greensboro for many many years and always thought this looked like a fun place to stay. I have eaten at the green valley grill but had never had the pleasure of staying at the o’Henry. I was in town for a night decided to stay here. The hotel is gorgeous. The room is spacious! It is very elegant and classy..reminiscent of “old money”. I would stay again if ever given the opportunity
Great communication with the host and had wonderful breakfasts during my stay. Place was a large older home in a historic neighborhood within walking distance of downtown.
