This place was awesome. We were just passing through and lucked into finding this rental for the night. My husband was upset that we weren’t staying longer and wants to stay there again soon. Great for families. I loved that there were kayaks and canoes and grills for patrons. Having the restaurant in the property was convenient and the nightly live music was a bonus.
Very convenient spot to spend a night and relax. Only down side was that we booked this room thinking it had a jacuzzi tub and it did not . The hotel was nice and the free breakfast was a plus after our long drive .
This is our favorite hotel to stay at when we drive from Chicago to New England and back and often plan our trips around staying here. People are so nice, hotel is clean and comfy and updated, and it is very dog friendly, which is important to us. Our dogs even get toys on occasion when staying here.
We'd usually stayed a local motels just for the convenience, but those were unexpectedly out of our price range this time, so we were delighted to find this B&B in a historic home, in the neighborhood where one of us had grown up. Being in town made it more convenient than the motels which are near the interstate west of town. We worried about a shared rather than a private bath, but there was no problem as there was only one other bedroom occupied and our schedules did not "collide."
this was a great place to stay --off the interstate, very friendly and helpful staff, clean, excellent continental breakfast and the PRiCE was amazing for all of the quality for one night.
Our room was very clean, I especially liked the hard surface wipes. Coffee and tea in room. Complimentary waters at check in ( frig in room). Complimentary popcorn cookies and soup in lobby and very nice complimentary breakfast. Everything you need for the bathroom including makeup wipes which I really liked because I hate leaving mascara marks on towels.
