"This mountaintop venue above the clouds is extraordinary. The only way to arrive here is through the cog-rail train or the gondola. The crowds without hotel reservations are there only during the day but leave on the last trip down around 5:30 so the mornings and evenings are quiet. Hiking trails abound. The restaurant serves excellent food. The rooms are basic but clean and with everything you need. "

"It’s quite the uphill walk to get here but the views were worth it. Facilities were clean, rooms are on the small side and hotels in a suburban and quiet area. Service was good and gave an overview of sights in town and the bus service. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent - reasonably priced (compared to area and country), great quality and excellent portion sizes. Loved the “game” menu with local dishes. "

"We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Pilatus Kulm Hotel! Truly stunning views from the top of the mountain and the journeys up and down on the cogwheel train and cable cars were incredible. There are multiple stops along to routes up and down the onto stop and hike or eat at a restaurant. Lucerne is beautiful and a great place to walk around and grab lunch. "A wonderful Hotel, close to Luzern, but at countryside. Great breakfast, friendly service, good quite hard beds, easy access, car parking, free bus tickets. Lovely walking paths close by. Easy to go to Mt Pilates. Just great! "

"We loved our stay at this hotel. We had the family junior suite which was plenty of room for the four of us. The hotel is in a very lively location. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, was close to the river and not a far walk from all of the tourist spots. Was directly across the street from the bus stop to take you to Mt. Pilatus. The front desk staff was lovely and my kids loved the fun decor and the free photo booth!"

The staff made extra effort to find parking with their sister hotel. Even did valet service for us by, as we found out at checkout, the GM Marc himself! What a wonderful hotel! "The owner and staff were always easily accessible, knowledgeable and helpful. Quiet relaxed atmosphere 10 minutes by train from the old historic part of Lucerne and the train was free. My room looked out over horse pastures which was a great departure for the crowed noisy streets of downtown areas. The chef had over 40 years of experience and the dinners he prepared were delicious. Best place I stayed in three countries."
