"We loved our stay at this little cottage in Nikko. The hostess was so amazing to work with both before we arrived with advice on car rentals and once we got there with restaurants and things to do. She was even so kind as to help us book a reservation later on our trip that we couldn’t do on line. The fresh fruit for breakfast was very tasty and the home was on a quiet street and an easy walk to food and not too far to the main shrine area. We would be very happy staying there again."

"What stand our was the spacious room with two beds and tatami. Daily kaiseki breakfast and dinner were delicious and we didnt have to eat lunch everyday. Public onsen are well maintained as well. Great location with very short walking distance to the famous bridge and shrine."

"We enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Ami very much. The local scenery is spectacular and the location of Gasthof Ami is excellent for enjoying the surrounding area. We only used public transit or walking while visiting the area and that worked great. Downtown Nikko is a pleasant 1 hour walk. Or if you want the bus, the stop is a 5 or 10 minute walk from the hotel. Places such as Kegan Falls, Lake Chuzenji, Yudaki and Yumoto are all easy to get to on the bus. The room was very spacious and clean....

"Nikko Tokino Yuu was a convenient hotel for an overnight visit to Nikko to see the shrine and tomb of Tokagawa Ieyasu at Nikko-Tosho-gu. with simple Ryokan style rooms and a modest basement onsen, this was a comfortable hotel for a night. "

"The condo unit was clean and beautiful, including the bath with hot spring water and sauna! Highly recommended!"

"The best partnof this hotel is the onsen, very easy to use the private facility. The hotel is located quite a distance from the train station so it could be difficult to access depending on weather. However it was close to Toshogu shrine and the Kanmangafuchi Abyss was right next door. Highly recommend if you like relaxing in onsen waters."

"I really love this hotel! The staff were kind and lovely, even though I’m not very good at communication. I stayed in Room 406, which had a window and a door leading out to the balcony — I absolutely loved it! There’s a Family Mart right across from the hotel, and it’s not far to walk from the train station. It was also very convenient to walk to the large supermarket in town. If I ever come back to Nikko, I will definitely stay here again."
