The Historic Birch Resort and Motel on Trout Lake was a spectacular find. What a hidden gem! It made for the perfect stay as my family of four explored this part of Michigan. We had the best experience. The staff are helpful and accomodating. The amenities are great. The property is nice and clean. Would highly recommend. It’s a short drive to the boardwalk, restaurants, gas station and groceries. The boat dock going to the island is just a few minutes walk. They also offer shuttle service. This could be our go to place to stay whenever we go to Mackinac Island.
After closing up our airbnb for the season we came up north to get away from everything. The hotel was a welcome retreat from our busy life.
