The stay here was great. The rooms are big and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I loved all the green areas surrounding the poolside and the gardens. The staff was really friendly. The only thing I could mention was that the wifi signal was little low but it still worked, so I don't really have any complaints.
We needed a hotel quickly when we flew into Johannesburg because our plans fell through. We were able to book easily, check in easily and had a pleasant night’s sleep after a long journey from the states. The staff was gracious and accommodating. The buffet breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel!
The two bedroom suite I had was great with a living room, and small kitchen with fridge, sink, and microwave. Location is also great, accross the street from the Rosebank Mall (multitude of stores including two grocery stores) wich is also the starting point for the double decker bus tour to explore Joburg.
Every aspect of our stay was intentionally welcoming. From the welcome beverages to the bedside treat, we felt cared for every moment of our stay. The tour of the sanctuary allowed us to have an inside look into the life of Nelson Mandela. Each person at the sanctuary told us more about the beautiful history of his time there. We highly recommend a stay at the sanctuary to all who visit Johannesburg.

Perfection. Staff, spa, room, shower (one of the best showers in the world), bed, the setting, food! It does not get much better than the Saxon. Worth every penny.
So wonderful! Peaceful! Such beautiful surrounding gardens, gorgeous pool! I loved everyone of staff. Their restaurant has the BEST chefs! We stepped out of our spacious, modern, beautifully decorated room after a free shuttle ride whose driver met us inside the airport! A comfortable 15 minute ride from the airport!
After unpacking and stepping out of our room seeing the romantically lit pool we see an open fire in the fireplace outdoors. Had a pre dinner cocktail then stepped into the small...
Our visit here was amazing the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable the rooms were clean and the food was great.
We were made to feel special by the staff here and if we visit South Africa again definitely be back here! Highly recommend
Lovely hotel in a nice neighborhood in Johannesburg. Staff was lovely and the roof top bar was the perfect place to unwind after a day of touring. Would definitely stay again!
The Hyde Park Villas are located in a safe and tranquil neighbourhood. Shops such as the Hyde Park Corner are a short walk away and Rosebank Mall is a bus stop away. The place itself is neat,rooms are clean with well tended gardens outside. The host is on hand to cook a home-made sumptuous breakfast. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the place. It offers a luxury stay at a great price.

Safety is of prime concern in South Africa, and African Pride is in an island of security in Melrose Arch along with a group of stores, a mall, and many restaurants. An easy drive to Rosebank Sunday Market and the Apartheid Museum. An hour to Maropeng and Prretoria. Highly recommend!
Spent my honeymoon at the Houghton Hotel and from being greeted with a rose and complimentary glass of wine, we knew it would be a pleasant experience. From the front desk staff to the restaurant we were well taken good care of! Our room was beautiful and spacious. Delicious food and most friendly staff, we loved Sisa!
Will absolutely come again and recommend!
