"Room was good: restroom was compact, beds are firm to stiff but ok. Breakfast was great every morning. Staff was helpful and fast.room Service was fast and good. Just blocks from the center of Shinjuku"
"Room is small but sufficient for a solo traveller. Breakfast was awesome! Lots of local Japanese dishes to choose from. Location is in the quieter part of Shinjuku and not too far from station. Convenient and comfortable stay!"
"I will definitely book a room at the Gracery next time I stay in Shinjuku. Rooms are very new and better size and layout than the dated APA hotel options next door. Bathroom was huge with a separate room for the shower and tub. Breakfast buffet was the best Ive had in Japan: tacos, salad bar, veggies, meats, coffee bar, desserts and lots of other more typical breakfast fare options. Very easy access to JR station in Shinjuku. Lots of food and entertainment options. Despite the location the rooms...
"This was my first trip to Japan and specifically Tokyo. This hotel was a phenomenal hotel. The service was exceptional and polite. Located in the heart of shinjuku. I am recommending to friends and family. Arigato gozaimasu!"
"A great location if you’re after all the fun of Shinjuku nightlife, but also feels set back and is definitely quieter than expected. Staff were really helpful at check in. Everything clean and room exactly as expected/described. Only a few minutes walk from Higashi-Shinjuku station"
"Perfect place for my stay in Kabukicho and I would gladly book here again in the future! The staff were very friendly, and the hotel and room had everything that I needed."
"The property is clean so if you don't mind a property that's somehow dated, this is a very good choice. In cities specially like Tokyo, location is always key. It is walking distance to the Golden Gai and the Kabukicho area. Less than 15 minutes away from the Shinjuki subway station. The hotel folks are also very friendly and accommodating. "
"Great for the price. They make everyone leave daily from 11-3 so not possible to sleep in after clubbing. If this is your first time to Japan do NOT stay in shinjuku or visit at night. I’ve been to Japan several times and it feels so clean and safe and well maintained. Shinjuku is near the red light district and the Nigerian pimps ruined the whole allure of Japan."
"We stayed 8 days. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the nearby train station. It’s a bit far but still convenient. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel didn’t have laundry room, but there was a small laundry store in the same block."
"No, it's not a Marriott or Hilton, it's distinctly Japanese and that's what makes it so fun! Great location, convenient to everything in Shinjuku. Breakfast buffet is definitely Japanese style, but that's what's cool about it. Will stay there again in the future."

Tokyu Kabukicho Tower is worth a pic or two when discovering Shinjuku. Tokyo has many other landmarks you might want to see such as Tokyo Imperial Palace and Sensoji Temple.
If you want to give your credit card some exercise, head out to Shinjuku Subnade in Shinjuku. Splash some more cash at Omoide Yokocho, Shinjuku Isetan, and Isetan Department Store Shinjuku.
Samurai Museum is just one of the attractions in Shinjuku, Tokyo so you might want to stop by during your trip. If you want to experience more of the culture Tokyo has to offer, head to Tokyo Dome, Tokyo Tower, and Shinjuku Batting Center.
You could catch an event at Shinjuku Batting Center, a stadium in Shinjuku. Our travelers also like the museums and monuments in the area. If you think Shinjuku Batting Center is cool, you also might like Tokyo Dome and Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, both located nearby.
If you're planning a bit of sightseeing head to Godzilla Head— just one of the monuments in Shinjuku. Tokyo has many other landmarks you might want to see such as Tokyo Imperial Palace and Sensoji Temple.

The room was spacious. The rooms were well supplied with soap, towels, and toiletries. The rooms were well cleaned every day. The negatives are the bed was not comfortable. The mattress was a futon. Also the room had no windows. The shower floor was marble and slippery.
Love this place and we will stay here again in the future. Room was amazing for three people with 3 single beds, fresh linen-and robe daily. Free breakfast with delicious pastries included. And oh, I missed the caffucino latte served as much as you want from Am till 10:00 pm. Our experience was great!
Great hotel that’s a short walk to the heart of Shinjuku and all it has to offer during the day and night! Still a quiet room though. Room was on the smaller side but you’re hardly in it anyway since you’re exploring Tokyo!
The J-Mex is what the Japanese call a "Love Hotel" - a place where couples can go to meet and have a romantic time. As such, most guests stay for one night (or shorter). But apart from the fact that the hotel room was stocked up daily with fresh condoms (as well as hair brush, mouthwash, moisturizers, toothbrush, lotions, bath salts, bubble baths, water bottles, etc.) we at know time felt like anything less than a very professionally run, reputable place. Suzuki, the English speaking manager...
We came to Japan for our honeymoon,it was such a friendly envrionement to spend our first few days in Japan. The staff was phenomenal:). We highly recommend this hotel. It’s clean, secure, friendly and accommodating to their guests!
I was a bit skeptical, as I saw multiple APA hotels in my search, but that is because of how good it is. It is a very eco friendly hotel with a moto of "Simplified Luxury" which is exactly what it was. It was very walkable to all the major spots of Shinjuku we were looking for- the station, the tourist spots, etc. Also, all the amenities the hotel had to offer. The room itself, while small by design, met all our expectations. Extra toilietry items, robes, pajamas, indoor slippers, water...
La'gent Hotel was fantastic value for the price.
Our room was small, of course, but each bed had USB charging, power outlets, and a reading light right next to them. There's a single nightstand between the two beds, but the headboards have a ledge which makes it very convenient to store anything you want to keep within arms reach at night.
The bathroom comes with plenty of free toiletries: good quality shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash (all in larger dispensers, not those terribly non-earth...
We booked this hotel for location that close to Shinjuku Kabukicho and bed choice of Queen bed (other places are Twin or Full) even it said Love Hotel. So, we originally expect a iffy hotel with lots noises. Turn out it was surprisingly nice and clean with no noise (sound proof) hotel. All staffs are friendly and have 1-2 staffs speaking English (so useful!) and provided us with a free bottle of champagne and 2 free bottles of water. Inside have a good sofa with coffee table and spaces are...
This hotel it’s a gem. The staff is very very friendly and very helpful (a young gentleman even helped me with a call I had and stayed with me until my delivery was done). Different but great breakfast, lots of flavors. The rooms and the property were extremely clean (as well as everything in Japan). My Family and I had a great time and a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s different that I am used to in the US, but it’s much better. And the bathroom…the bathroom itself the best part, strong...
I love this hotel. Just spent 2 and a half weeks here - my third visit to Tokyo and I've stayed at this hotel each time because it was ideal for me. Here's why:
1) the location is good and quite ideal if you're an LGBT traveler (it's not advertised as such but its a very welcoming hotel to LGBT guests) and want to be close to thw nightlife in Shinjuku Nichome (it's a 10 minute walk away). Its also close to Kabuchiko and Shinjuku station, so near lots of other stuff and easy to get around all of...
I I stayed for 3 nights and it was pleasant stays. The room was very clean and quiet while the building was situated in the middle of busy streets. I would definitely stay there again.
