This place is heaven on earth! When you wake up to the view over the Indian Ocean in the morning and watching the sunrise, you feel like the happiest person on earth. The sky is FULL of stars in the night and it is the most beautiful night sky I have ever seen. The rooms are amazing, the hotel staff is SO nice, talkative and friendly. And the food is fantastic! The African dishes as well as the "European/American" dishes - I enjoyed every meal I had there and looked forward to it every day. I...
The location, Makunduchi, is very calm. It's perfect for those who want some rest. The hotel facilities are simple but clean, organized and comfortable. I got impressed with the Wi-fi connection in the rooms. It's very good considering the location is far from Stone Town. Not the best connection but quite fast and reliable.
The food is very good, tasty and prices are fair.
Don't hire tours (Blue Safari, Stone Town, etc.) thru the local hotels because they are more expensive than if you negotiate...
The whole staff at Amani strive to make your time there perfect! The food is delicious, and there are thoughtful small touches throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel- and would eagerly come back again!
- the communication with the hotel owner was smooth
- there were no unpleasant surprises waiting for us
- everything in other reviews was 100% correct
- we were picked up from the airport
- the beach bungalow was ready and always clean
- the staff was very nice and helpful
- the breakfast served at the porch (nice view of the beach)
- the beach was clean and accessible right from the bungalows (low tide - nice walks, high tide - water was 3m from the resort)
- food and cocktails were...
It's close to the beach, but everything around the hotel is under construction. Make sure to ask your way to the beach, it's well worth it.
I found the staff to be kind and informative.
This is a very good value for the prices and there are a few nice restaurants around the hotel like Al Casbah
Beautiful property and super helpful staff. I had an amazing spa experience right after an 8day Kilimanjaro climb. The restaurant was excellent with all meals and the ocean views are wonderful.
Wow if I told about everything amazing about the Nur beach hotel 1500 characters would not be enought. Its an amazing new hotel (July 2015) with 10 bungalows. It has a great swimming pool in the middle of it with an amazing view on in my opinion the best beach in Zanzibar. Rooms get cleaned everyday, you get also beach towels. The staff is so amazing and friendly that you will feel like at home and will be very sad when leaving from there. The food is very good, we enjoyed the tapas every...
My stay at Fruit and Spice was a great escape from my normal busy city and work life. The views are amazing! The beach although not large is full of interesting sea life and local villagers fishing and gathering. The ocean breeze was perfect. It was said that it is the low season, "rainy season", it only rained a couple of times very early in the morning, just enough to make the air smell fresh.
This is the place to stay on the island! We had a marvelous time at the Ocean Boutique. Every single staff person has a smile and extraordinary customer service skills. They can arrange any excursions you want. Everything is kept sparkling and clean as they service your room twice a day. The food is outstanding. Chef Ali and his team serve amazing good. If you are a foodie, this is the place you want to stay. You will not be disappointed in a single thing.
Thank you for taking such good care of...
We could only stay one night. For sure next time we'll book for more.
We had a room on the first floor viewing the swimming pool side (not the garden) and the sea.
Everything was perfect : the decoration, the room, the team, the food.
