Just note that elevators are very small but that is in other hotels in Greece too. Not a negative.

Marathon Beach Hotel was wonderful! They have done a lovely job renovating and old standard into a stylish, modern and welcoming shelter in the current Greek storm. The design of the renovation is fresh and clean, the staff was extremely helpful and attentive and the breakfast was excellent. And I can't forget the large, lovely (salt water❤️❤️❤️) pool! The nicest most pleasant and honest family runs this villa hotel. It was such a nice studio apartmemt we had. We stayed one night when we returned from Mykonos before returning home to the usa. Really unique property - very clean and comfortable, not far from the ocean. Stayed only for one night before a flight, would not hesitate to return for a longer stay. The area is quiet, but you can rent a little tuk-tuk/golf cart type vehicle onsite or walk. Host very welcome and accommodating. Highly recommend!
Our Airport Cottage stay was impeccable. The space is huge - living room with TV and all of the apps, kitchen with everything you could need (beverages and snacks upon arrival), and a comfortable bedroom. Skyros treated my husband and I like we were family. He drove us to a local fish tavern for dinner and picked us up, and took us to the Athens airport early in the morning (25 euros). He made my travel anxiety vanish! Wish we had more time. Skip the airport hotel and stay here.

Perfect location for an overnight stay close to the airport! The apartment was spacious and clean and provided everything our adult family of 4 needed for an overnight stay near the airport. Maria and George were extremely hospitable and even provided transport to/from the airport, for a very reasonable fee
