The Sunstar Alpine Hotel are I stayed is located within an easy walking distance to the train station in Wengen. I could hit the station with a rock from my balcony at the hotel. Wengen is a good location to explore the many hiking trails and other points of interest including Jungfraujoch that are in the Interlaken, Jungfrau region. Excellent boutique hotel in a great area with incredible views. My sister and I stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. All amenities were top notch and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and the spa was such a treat. The complimentary laundry facilities were so appreciated as we had been travelling for some time before our stay at the Glacier. Overall, I would not hesitate to return.
Everything is great. Rooms are spacious, staff is very friendly. The only thing they can improve is have a slightly bigger size of blankets / comforters. Overall very satisfied with our stay in the property.
This hotel was absolutely lovely. The staff were helpful and professional. The location was perfect and easily accessible to trains and activities. There is a great restaurant with common comfort foods attached to the hotel. I look forward to visiting Interlaken and staying at this hotel again.

I stayed at the Tschuggen hotel with my wife for 2 nights. The location was right in the heart of Grindelwald; very close to the main train station and the gondola to First. There are many restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The owners arrange a wonderful breakfast for the guests every morning. Our room had a great view of the mountains behind the hotel.
One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. A once in a lifetime type beauty. But hopefully I'll be back again! The pool was great and I was traveling with two 20-something kids and a 15 yr old. Staff was very nice. We ate dinner in the hotel...but not the "included" with your room dining room. It was good. Breakfast was also good...typical, but good.
Very nice property in a beautiful part of Switzerland. Friendly staff and lots of areas to walk and enjoy the scenery. Great breakfast options and lots of options for restaurants in addition to the one onsite. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again.
I liked the hotel itself and the location, however this was all self service property. When you get there, you have to use a machine to check in, there’s literally no human individual to welcome you in, not one soul. They didn’t offer clean service, at all. We stayed two nights, and though the hotel room was very nice and clean the breakfast sucked!! They only offer coffee, pastries, fruit, cheese and yogurt. I felt like blah… wouldn’t book here again. We spent a week here for our anniversary and the setting is hard to beat. The resort is spotless, the lake and mountain views are postcard-perfect, and the staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. If you want quiet, clean air, and scenery, this delivers.
The tradeoff is isolation. Getting anywhere else in Switzerland means long drives on winding mountain roads, and the access road is single-lane with scheduled up/down windows, so you can’t come and go on a whim. Dining options...
