We visited La Tagliata 15 years after, for a second time. Mama Luigi was still a star in the kitchen. The food was delicious as usual. Each and every staff member, (always a family member), was very friendly, very courteous and very helpful. Grazie mille La Tagliata.
The owners of this property were excellent and very helpful. It is far up, but there is a bus that comes every day that takes you down to town and back up and if there is any issue with that, the owners were super helpful I highly recommend to stay at this place. It’s absolutely beautiful and clean.
As many other reviewers mentioned, it's a great hotel for the money. The hotel is run by Antonio and Paulo (father and son) who speak very good English and are very helpful with recommendations.

We stayed here recently, family of four with two kids. The hotel is neat and clean, modern looking and the the food is amazing, especially the buffet breakfast which is included in the price. The location can't be beat, it's right in front of the pompei ruins and there are awesome food places right near the hotel. The staff were amazing too. I would love to stay again at this hotel.

I would highly recommend this hotel. We went here for our honeymoon and loved every minute. The staff left a bottle of champagne in the room as a welcome and accommodated our request for a higher level room and queen bed.
The location is great. It's an easy walk to town but enough apart to be quiet and relaxing. The rooms are a good size and many feature balconies. I would recommend paying extra to get a sea view. It's worth it!
