Il Borro truly hit all marks for a unique and luxurious stay in Tuscany. The location is a bit removed from the traditional or well-traveled parts of Tuscany, but is perfect if you are seeking quiet, rural and unblemished landscapes. One tip: arrive early (before dark) as the estate is sprawling and GPS sends you in a different direction than reception. Stunning location! I wish we had been able to stay another night and spend a day by the beautiful pool. The drive to Arezzo was short, which allowed for exploring and dinner in the old part of the city!
Our stay was exceptional. Next time we go to Italy we will book there. The family made us feel at home and so welcomed. I highly recommend B&B Villa La Nussa.
Hotel Minerva was built it seems sometime in the 80s and the decor will remind you of this. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and we were greeted by a porter that helped with luggage. The rooms are good size for the large hotel and had really clean linens and cold AC. WIFI signal was not strong in the rooms but nice in the lobby (3 euro extra for WIFI). Complimentary breakfast spread was excellent with all the typical Italian items. Overall, a great hotel for your money in small town...
The property itself is old, but extremely quaint and charming. The area is very quiet and relaxing. The views and breathtaking, you feel completely transported to another era. Breakfast is delicious and the staff went above and beyond. They could not have been nicer and more accommodating.
The area itself is remote and there is no transportation, so you will definitely need to book a car service or rent a vehicle.
Ok, this place is amazing. Cleaner than clean. More comfortable than you can imagine. The staff friendly and very accommodating. Beautiful hamlet converted to a farm stay. First class all the way. If you’re in Tuscany, near Anghiari, you owe it to yourself to stay here. We booked for one night….decided to stay for 3! Loved it loved it loved it! Thank you to Marco, Roberta, and Lorenzo. Other than finding the property address wasn’t available on my TomTom everything else was fine. Very attentive and helpful receptionist, incredible views. Adequate but simple breakfast. Nice bathroom but the shower unit was small and rather flimsy. Very comfortable bed and good reading light which often seems lacking in Italy.
