"Extremely disappointing stay at Villa Rock Boutique Resort. This property advertises itself as a luxury boutique resort, but our experience was far from luxurious. The pool was out of service, which was one of the main amenities we were looking forward to using. The TV in the room did not work, the internet connection was unreliable and extremely slow, and the room safe repeatedly got stuck, making it frustrating to use. For the price charged, basic amenities should be fully functional and properly maintained. Unfortunately, the overall condition and service did not match the expectations created by the resort’s marketing. We felt misled by the “luxury” description, as the property lacked the quality, comfort, and attention to detail that a true luxury resort should provide. I would not recommend this resort to travelers seeking the premium experience that is being advertised."

"the location was very beautiful with great food. The staff were always on hand and were quick to provide great service when needed. The land itself is a bit difficult to walk around because of so many hills(even going from the rooms to the pools is a hill) but there are several golf carts to help carry people around when required. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from a wonderful cove with a small reef and kayaking. A great vacation overall"

Mountain Top Park Hotel

"The hotel really is at the top of a mountain so the views in every direction were amazing. Stayed in the main building level one. Full access to the whole park's network of trails and suspension bridges makes this an ideal location for wildlife viewing. Road up is very steep but it is safe because it is one way traffic with separate roads going up versus going down. Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Supper quality was good, however not much choice for vegetarian, other than salad and french fries (both were very good though). This is the place for wildlife. Were able to see squirrel monkeys, sloths, a nesting pair of tucans, a pair of macaws, iguanas and frogs. Every morning, Jose the hotel park naturalist does a free one hour tour with his spotting scope where you can learn all about the animals and their habitat. You can purchase a night tour with Jose and see up close some amazing creatures including colorful frogs and two-toed sloth. Highly recommend purchasing a tour with Jose."
