My wife and I had the pleasure of staying with David at Tarrassas de Dana. The hotel is only 4 small bungalows. They are simply but elegantly designed and finished. The site if nothing less than spectacular. Gorgeous! Full of flowers, verdant mountains, hummingbirds and butterflies. David was a wonderful host and so very helpful. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel served on the private porch of our bungalow. Both were excellent.
It is truly a dream hotel if your dream is to sleep amongst tropical birds and plants. It was incredible to wake up to hummingbirds, toucans, and parrots every day. The rooms are wonderful and the food is great. Strongly recommend
I absolutely loved my night here. My only regret was that I only had 1 night! For sure I would return. Its just outside the city center which is fabulous if you value peace and quiet as I do. I loved the property that included a path to the river, hammocks, a lovely outdoor breakfast area, and a pool that had changing stalls and bathrooms. Even the walk to the river had bathrooms nearby and campsites which I would definitely make use of given the opportunity!

The hotel resides in one of the most beautiful places I have ever experienced. The grounds are immaculately maintained, tge architecture is gorgeous, the spaces uncrowded and relaxed. Places like this only exist in fairy tales. The staff is friendly and efficient, the rooms large, well-appointed, and comfortable. The on-site restaurant is very good too. I hope to spend another vacation there.
This was an amazing Sanctuary located in the mountains above the city of Quito. It was very easy to get there. We had the room called the cathedral which was amazing with a natural in-ground hot tub the authenticity of the rooms and the decor made you feel as though you are having the best Ecuadorian experience ever. We had a wonderful experience in Quito. We were told to watch for pick pockets and shady taxis. Just make sure you get into a yellow taxi with the green rectangular government issued sign on the side. I even left my wallet in a taxi one night and the driver came back and honked his horn until we heard him and went back to get the wallet. Hotel owner said we were lucky to get it back.
