It's a beautiful newish property with spectacular views!! It was clean and staff was super helpful and friendly.
The only negative is that it is hard to find - no signs on main street and kind of bad path off the main road. The outside of the property seems to be worked on still so hopefully it will all be resolved once finished.
Also not much to do right around there - but that is probably the case for many places around Bali.

Beautiful property and great staff. Walked into town and explored on our own. Our only complaint was that the only option for dinner was at the retreat, which did not have much variety for vegans/vegetarians and was generally just ok.
Exceptionally welcoming staff, clean property in good condition with good food. We stayed in seven properties in Bali on this holiday, some significantly more expensive but this was our favourite by a long way and probably the only one we would consider returning to. Good value, relaxing and welcoming.
Clean nicely furnished room and property. Comfortable bed, lovely breakfast. Garden is beautiful and the view is stunning! Very peaceful and special place.
My husband and I stayed at Alila for 3 nights. We were fascinated by the location (in the middle of a forest!). Waking up to the sounds of the birds chirping was just unreal!
Service - we were adorned with superb service at Alila. Everyone was friendly and always pleased to help us. The kind words they used such as, "my pleasure," just showed how much they cared about our satisfaction. On our last day, we got to meet the property manager and he was absolutely fantastic! We appreciated the time...
Lovely, vintage Balinese feeling and look to this resort, friendly staff, good service. The rooms were air conditioned and the main areas were open with ceiling fans. Plants, flowers, and Hindu temple sculptures all around. There was always an extra fan for us to use. Nice spa area with everything offered. Two refreshing pools with lounge chairs for all.
