"This could be something so special. The location itself is amazing and the accommodation for ‘camping’ is incredible. The service wasn’t great however. As kind as everyone was the timings were very off. Being told we needed to be ready for breakfast at 8 and not being served till 9.30. The same for dinner. We also told them we needed to leave on the final day at 7.30 so wanted breakfast at 7. We arrived at the breakfast tent at 7 and no one was there. Unfortunately it was the same for the bush walks and the other activities. We request to do the 16km walk they advertised in their welcome message and on their website and they told us it wasn’t possible. We were told there would be a bush walk at 9 and we didn’t leave till 12 which was fine for us but for an 84 year old guest in the group it probably wasn’t the best time of day to go walking and all the animals would have been hiding from the sun. Such a shame as your rely so heavily on the hotel team given you are in the middle of no where "

"Out of every hotel we have stayed at in Sri Lanka, this was the best. It was classy. They did absolutely everything right. The staff were always smiling and helpful. The food was amazing. The chef is so talented. Best stay ever. Wish it could be longer."
