Excellent hotel. Cross the street, and there is a little path that gets you down into the water. The only thing I didn't like was that the main road was right underneath our balcony, and it was impossible to have a conversation out there without some motorcycle group interrupting it. Maybe request a room on the top floor... it might be quieter up there.
Fantastic hotel with very helpful staff. In room we found a personalized welcome note, delicious nibbles from their bakery and refreshing bottles of water. The room had a view of the lake …also a plus. Restaurant and room service was absolutely top notch. We will stop again.
Grand Hotel des Lles Borromees is a wonderfully elegant hotel set lakeside with beautiful grounds and gardens. My wife and I extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights - expensive, but well worth it.
