It is over expectation. The owner is very nice and friendly person. He has communicated with me before the trip and answered my questions quickly. The tent is pretty big exceeding our imagination. We have free dinner and lunch, even morning camel ride to see sun rise. They were not included in original price. Everyone is happy with the accommodations.
I dont know where to start. With so many choices , we shortlisted coz of reviews / ac in the room. This was the best experience we will carry the memories
I had an incredible stay in the Merzouga Sahara Desert, at this camp which perfectly situated at the foot of the highest sand dunes and near a beautiful lake. The atmosphere was amazing, the king-sized bed was cozy, and the authentic food was absolutely delicious. Ahmed, the manager, and his team were warmly welcoming and went above and beyond to share the rich history and culture of the desert. I particularly appreciated Ahmed’s insights into fossils and the ancient creatures, like the...
Words cannot describe the magical experience of staying in this luxury tent camp. We were treated like royalty by the most attentive, multilingual staff we have ever encountered anywhere in our extensive travels In Asia, North & South America, Europe, and Morocco.
The aptly named camp resides at the base of a gorgeous tangerine orange sand dune. Total privacy and serenity. The unearthly silence of the night is only interrupted by the sound of the tent walls gentle rustling in the warm desert...
Camels, and 4X4’s, luxury and serenity. The camp had it all. It was the perfect experience and one I truly hope to experience again. We spent 2 nights at the camp and I am so glad that we did, one just would not be enough.
Although the food, surroundings, stargazing, camel rides, and four wheeling through the dunes are amazing, the best part of Horaz is the wonderful, warm staff. Thank you Alí and everyone else for giving us a memorable few days in Africa!
The service at this camp is beyond excellent and the service of staff member Hamed is exceptional. My wife and I stayed at this camp on the 27-28 January, 2025. We rode the camel to the camp (separate price $25 euros) and we stopped for about an hour on the dunes to see the sunset. Our camel guide was Ishmael who was very friendly and my view is that persons who are opposed to use of camel as transport must understand that for the camel operators, this is a source of income for persons in the...
We had an amazing 2-night stay at Kam Kam camps. We were welcomed graciously with tea and treats (as is typical in Morocco). The camp grounds were beautiful. Our tent was perfectly comfortable with gorgeously decorated, but still fairly simple as is expected when camping in the desert. Dinner was delicious and you definitely will not go hungry. Sunrise camel ride up into the dines was magical. And we spent a day touring the desert on a 4WD car with a tour guide which was an experience we will...
It was the most amazing experience. From the actual tent to the staff. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Always eager to help. Mohammed, the person that greats you is very helpful and very friendly and funny. Any time we ask for anything he got the staff to get it to us ASAP.We also took a tour with the driver from here, Mustafa, it was a 4-5 hour tour through the desert and it's villages. Minus a couple of technical problems, but remember you're in the middle of the desert, this...
**An Unforgettable Luxury Experience in the Desert**
Amakou Camp is, without a doubt, the best luxury camp in the desert. I've had other experiences, but this one truly stands out as unique and unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything was executed to perfection. The attention to detail, the warmth of the staff, and the luxurious amenities made our stay exceptional. The desert landscape is breathtaking, and the camp itself is a perfect blend of comfort and authenticity. Whether...

Everyone was so nice and welcoming. They have a beautiful rooftop view of the dunes where we had tea and dinner. The room was nicely decorated and very cozy!
What an incredible experience this was. Hafid and his staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The setting was spectacular and peaceful. The staff was so friendly and hospitable. The drum circle was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. We enjoyed learning about the culture. A once in a lifetime experience.
