Best Western Plus Hotel Plaza
8/10 Good
"Location is excellent. One-hour drive from Arlanda sirport. No parking on property. Parking is in attached garage, operated independently and requiring to go out of the hotel and into attached building, use separate elevator, codes, etc. Next door to good grocery store. Accross the street from department store. Half block from pharmacy. Five-minute nice walk to and from the train station. Nice walking distance to the very pretty old city area. We were in a suite, so space was large and comfortable. Quiet. Good views. No AC, but we did not need it. Erratic room thermostats. Erratic water temperature in the shower. Not enough towels (more were delivered upon request). Excellent and not pricey restaurant. Good breakfast included, not as good as in the competing Steam Hotel or other Scandinavian hotels. A good place to stay in the city center, especially if you have not rented a car and arrive by train."

"The house is very charming and it's in a beautiful setting. We loved the old goat and the funny roosters. The lace screens for the windows were such a clever touch. The cabinets were well stocked with glasses and plates. The owner brought excellent bikes for us to rent. We had a great time riding around the countryside. The only thing missing were comfortable lawn chairs for outside. We asked and were told that people kept ruining them or worse, taking them. But there were multiple tables and sitting areas outside which we certainly took advantage of. Such a lovely place. We would go back again for sure."
