Would definitely go again! I'm so happy I read through the reviews before staying here. Good tips I read that are helpful, is that there are multiple Dormy Inn's in the city, so remember to go to the Central Park one! You can take a bus down the main street, or do a 20 minute walk from the station. I ended up using the bus for when I had my heavy luggage. Staff greets you. The room was very spacious!! Concierge was able to speak English so was able to assist with checking and check out too. They provide luggage service as well. The form is already in your room to fill out!!
The location of this Dormy Inn was ideal as it was less than one block from a central shopping arcade that had an incredible number of dining and shopping options. I have stayed in a number of Dormy Inns over the years and they never disappoint. I love the hot spring baths and especially enjoy the ones that have open air baths. Beds are always comfortable. Grand Base Takamatsu is an apartment rental more than a hotel. Although it was not what we expected it was perfect for our stay in Takamatsu. It is very well located near the main shopping arcade, has a terrific soba restaurant across the street. It has an ok kitchen and be prepared to do some shopping for breakfast. The location was superb! up on the mountain, remote and quiet. Fantastic view of the entire city both in the morning and in the evening. Huge and clean room, staff are very nice and friendly. But it may not be convenient if you dun rent a car. Stayed two nights and enjoyed very much!
