Lovely hotel in a good location. Excellent breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. The air conditioning in my room wasn’t working and no one was available to fix it. Fortunately I could open the window without too much disturbance but it would have been nice if they could move my room or fix the problem.

Friendly and stylish boutique hotel

Beautiful hotel with many personal touches to make you feel that you were staying somewhere special. We only had the breakfast once but have to say the choice, variety and quality of the food was excellent. All the staff we spoke to on reception were super friendly and very helpful. I stayed at Hotel Cocoon in Ostend for one night. The room itself was nice and a good size, and the location is definitely a strong point—right on the beach and very close to plenty of restaurants and bars. However, there were a few issues that affected the stay. The room was quite cold and the thermostat didn’t seem to be working, which made it uncomfortable overnight. The shower gel bottle was also empty and hadn’t been refilled, which was a bit disappointing. Parking is available, but at €30 per night per car, it felt quite expensive. The overall atmosphere of the hotel wasn’t particularly welcoming, which took away from the experience a bit. Overall, it’s a well-located hotel with decent rooms, but a few improvements and attention to detail would make a big difference.

Zeer goede locatie bij de zeedijk en de havengeul. Ze doen erg hun best met drankje en snoepjes bij de receptie, water, thee en koffie op de kamer maar er zijn teveel kleine foutjes. We hadden een mooie kamer maar met een hardnekkige sigarettengeur en zonder leeslampjes. Bij aankomst lag er een lang zwart haar in de lavabo, de gebruikte handdoeken werden weggenomen maar er lagen geen verse in de plaats... Zou niet mogen in een viersterrenhotel met een dergelijke prijs. Het ontbijtbuffet was zeer lekker en gevarieerd maar wel duur (27,5€).
