This was the most fun stay I’ve ever had. Yes, the property is old but what character it has!!
When I first arrived in the pub and checked in at the bar, I was greeted with such wonderful enthusiasm from the patrons and hospitality from the staff! I felt at home immediately. In fact, two of the patrons, older gentlemen, helped me carry my luggage, which included a large, heavy suitcase, up the VERY steep stairs. Nevertheless, despite very minor inconveniences, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming inn. I feel l have made friends for life. KUDOS to my friends, the staff - Andrea, Lee and Claire! If I possibly can, I will definitely return. And I heartily recommend this inn to those who want to experience some old romantic charm in a familial atmosphere. But be aware, it is old, creaky floors, stairs and all! But also really great! Oh, and they serve a delicious, free English breakfast! But currently no lunch or dinner is available. But you can order food from many of the great restaurants nearby and eat it in the pub with your pint!
