A rough and bumpy road, framed by the Atlas mountains, lead us to a place of complete tranquility in the Taj Atlas. The hotel itself was quiet, in a secluded part of Amizmiz and was the better for it as waking each morning to a cacophony of songbirds was a complete delight.
This oasis of calm had a lovely, inviting swimming pool and was great after sunning in a nearby lounger.
The food was good, beef tagine in particular was delicious. The room itself was spacious and comfortable but wasn't cleaned with the vigour one would expect of a 4 star resort - the shower was limescaley and a little grimy, a more energetic dusting wouldn't have gone amiss either.
One sour point was two of the wait staff knocking our room door being highly suggestive of recieving a tip, as they were going off duty. A tip was given, although as is customary, we leave a tip for all staff at check out.
