My wife and I went on a cruise. We arrived in San Juan a day before, and El Colonial is one of the best places to stay since it's only a 10-minute walk to the Royal Caribbean cruise port. It is also conveniently located in Old San Juan. Our room was comfortable and the air conditioning works well. There's also a bar in the lobby where you can enjoy complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The staff member who checked us in was friendly and even helped us carry our luggage upstairs to the 4th floor. I apologize, as I forgot his name. Just keep in mind that the hotel doesn't have an elevator, but like I said, they will offer to help you carry it up. Overall, the hotel is highly recommendable if you're going on a cruise at a nearby pier.

Excellent service from the staff member 100/10. Also very clean place. Amazingly located and surrounded by a lot of good places to eat and explore. We had an incredible stay and all of the staff were incredible. We typically do not leave any negative reviews, but the lady that was the night attendant when we checked in said was extremely rude and we did not feel welcomed. Other than that we loved it and would recommend!
