Nice and friendly staff, I had the all inclusive package. I would suggest more waiters at the beach area. You could not have food at the beach as part of the all inclusive package. Only buffet lunch and dinner. For the à la Carte you get 25% off. The entertainment was good some nights. It’s a good city beach hotel.

Excellent place. Great location, walking convenience to everything needed for the nice vacation. Beach, water activities like paragliding and jetski, dining, bars, tours, old town, shopping, etc. The hotel itself is well maintained, great service and useful amenities at the hotel itself, like pools, deck, spa, dining and cafe. Will consider staying there again.

Very nice hotel

We were very satisfied with the hotel. We also received an upgrade to the Penthouse, which was very good. In addition we had another room on the top floor directly to the beach. The hotel provided lots of complementary drinks, fruit and sweets in both rooms. Only negative was two of the staff in the breakfast room. They looked like they had very bad days at work, not friendly service at all.

Location and facilities were great although quite noisy at times. Staff were all lovely and willing to help in any way they could. Staff came to the beach a few days giving watermelon and drinks to everyone that wanted it which was a nice touch. Rooms were good but not 5 star with broken tiles and room cleaning was erratic ( some items replaced some days and not others)

The breakfast is exceptionally good and all else is great but two minor inconveniences: the gym could be open maybe an hour or two more (today it closes at 6 pm) and there aren't that many sunbeds at the hotel main pool (but I mostly used the beach anyways which is right outside of the hotel) and the

Really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel and room was immaculate condition. Shame the pool was a bit too cold at end of October but made use of the warm indoor pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast had a great choice and staff could not have been more friendly. Highly recommend. Only downfall was our room was supposed to be full sea view but more like partial sea view from first floor as part of hotel building blocked the majority of the sea view from our balcony.

We had a wonderful few days at Aquila Porto Rethymno. The property is beautiful and well maintained and with many additional facilities and games than expected. We went mid-June and had a wonderful time at the pool and beach, easily finding chairs, however, the drinks service was slow. The breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful. Very convenient location with easy walking distance to town.

Could be better for a 5-star resort

Overall aan excellent stay. Quite impeccable. Two things however for a 5-star hotel, there should be parking facilities options. We are left own our own. Options could include an underground garage, possibly off valet parking (with a fee) or at the very least, clear indications with maps of the locations of paid parking lots. Second thing, again a 5-star hotel should have either freshly squeezed orange juice or at least pitchers of none-concentrated OJ. Certainly not pale OJ from a fountain dispenser.

Excellent Staff

I stayed in this hotel for one night in May 2017, single room, bed and breakfast. The size of the room is large for what is labeled as a single, and very comfortable, as is the bathroom. Very good toiletries are provided – Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion. The service at the hotel was impeccable, my compliments to the reception staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping and management !!. One can select a different pillow from the standard provided, which I found to be excellent. Breakfast was very varied and tasty, coffee was not good (too weak) , but I was provided with nescafe when I requested it, so this was not an issue. The only issue I had during my stay, which would perhaps cause me to book a different hotel next time, is the rather large gap between the screen separating the balcony of the room and that of the adjacent room and the wall, in effect enabling free access between the rooms. This really disturbed me, in particular as a woman travelling alone, as I had to have the curtains closed whenever I was in the room, and also could not sleep with the balcony door open for air and had to sleep with the air conditioning on which I usually try to avoid. I’m not sure what the reason was for building the screens this way (they are not interconnecting rooms), and I imagine it must incur additional air conditioning costs for the hotel too if there are others not leaving their balcony door open due to this reason.

Das Hotel hat eine grossartige Lage. Nur die Uferstrasse trennt das Gebäude vom Strand. Die Benutzung der Liegen und Sonnenschirme ist für die Gäste gratis mit Ausnahme der ersten beiden Reihen zum Meer. Daneben gibt es auch zwei Pools und zugehörige Liegen. Das Frühstückbuffet ist enorm reichhaltig. Hier wird jeder etwas finden. Das Personal sowohl beim Frühstück als auch allgemein im Hotel ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer modern, sauber und gepflegt. Die Altstadt ist in rund 15 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Einzig die Künstler, die ab 20.30 bis 22.30 Uhr vor dem Hotel auftreten, können mit der Qualität des Hotels selten mithalten.

Unieke ligging langs de boulevard en op 500m van het oude centrum met winkeltjes, bars en restaurantjes. De kamers met zeezicht zijn top. Kamers met zijzeezicht zijn goed tot op de 4de verdieping. Hoger gelegen kamers hebben ook wel het uitzicht naar zee, maar kijken ook uit over de daken van de gebouwen ertegenover. Zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Lekker en gevarieerd eten en zeer leuk à la carte-restaurant waar je iedere dag kan reserveren. Het strand ligt tegenover het hotel en heeft (in juni) zeker genoeg ligzetels. Aan de zwembaden van het hotel wordt je verwittigd als je meer dan een half uur weg bent en je handdoek laat liggen. Ook pas toegankelijk vanaf 9u.
