Bit of a mixed review for this one, but overall it was quite positive.
The hotel is close to Victoria Cross Metro, which is super handy. The neighbourhood is clean, trendy, and felt safe at night.
The interior design is modern and understated. I really liked the dark, moody bathroom. However, the kitchen area could use more lighting since it’s quite dark. The view wasn’t great, but I imagine the higher grade rooms have better ones.
There were a few minor issues here and there. The handheld shower head was left facing up and out, so it sprayed in my face when turning on the shower. That wasn’t particularly pleasant, but I had to laugh. Some small cleaning details were missed like buildup on the bathroom vent, noticeably some silicone and grout jobs that weren’t done properly, soap drips that were left on bottles, and water stains on the glass. I should specify that the bathroom was still clean, though. Probably just being pedantic.
The air conditioning struggled to reach the lowest setting, which made it a little too warm to sleep for my liking, but the bed was really cosy.
High praise for the staff: all were professional, attentive, and quick to resolve any issues I had. The team at Bar Lettera were also wonderful. Meals were good quality but were overpriced and under-portioned in my opinion, especially since the sides cost extra.
Despite the imperfections, I enjoyed my stay overall and given the opportunity, I’d stay again.
