No way to store luggage if arriving prior to check-in or leaving after check-out - one of few hotels with no such availability. Only one key per room allowed.
reception is staffed around the clock, but staff is often indifferent.
A comfortable bed and quality linens and pillows, as cited in other reviews, a primary reason for choosing this hotel. There was good daily cleaning
The room was basically two beds and two small night stands in a small space - a very small closet with just three hangers, no desk or chair - nowhere for a laptop computer or anything else.
Bathroom badly designed – door does not open and close easily without ramming oneself. There is no clothes line in the bathroom.
Showers have sporadic lukewarm and tepid water, never hot – no way to keep water in the shower, so it gathers on the bathroom floor.
No shower soap after asking twice – toiletries not of good quality, I recommend bringing your own.
Bathroom had no tissues, no wash cloths, and bad lighting. The small round mirror was the only one in the room.
Breakfast was horrendous – an assortment of dry stale pastries, eggs, hotdogs, two corn cereals, orange drink. Hardly anything edible.
The hotel is centric and convenient for exploring the historic center and some major museums, as well as the two big Cerros. It's a busy street with lots of busses, though noise was not really an issue. The neighborhood is very dirty with trash and garbage everywhere, and many blocks have an acrid odor of urine.
