My girlfriend and I booked our 5 night stay at this hotel after reading all the good reviews on Hotels.com
Upon approaching the front desk, we were not greeted by an employee, but rather a sign detailing all the stipulations in which guests could not receive compensation for their bookings. Just not the most encouraging sight.
When we entered our room, we were quick to realize that we were given a double bed instead of a queen. At the front, we were told that “these are our queen beds.” Okay. They also told us they were fully booked for the night, so we had no choice. Our duvets also had bloodstains on them, which wasn’t pleasant. Also, how is the only towel rack in the washroom, immediately above the toilet?
As a family-oriented hotel, the staff was nice, area was safe and the hotel had a pool, which families and young kids seemed to really enjoy.
But the positives don’t go much further than that. The hallways always had a strange, musty smell to it at all times and the breakfast was complimentary, but I found I lost my appetite often quicker than i became full. Potatoes tasted (and looked) like cardboard, bread could’ve been from a museum, and the eggs were cold and spongy. Some of the worst hotel breakfast I’ve had in a long time.
Silver lining, the room had a good fridge and microwave. Great for reheating leftovers. The AC fan was great though.
All in all, there’s another quality inn closer to the airport. Thinking we should have tried that instead.
