I wanted a hotel near the airport for my last night in Kigali after a few days of trekking. Zaria is one of the newer hotels, check in/out were very efficient and smooth. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, room was nice (everything worked flawlessly and bed was very comfortable) and the room service food was exactly what I wanted for my last night in Rwanda. I had previously stayed at the Radisson Blu Convention Center, and Zaria beats them hands down.

Enjoyed my stay at Zaria Court Hotel. Professional & polite staff, good rooms and great amenities. The only amenity i didn’t get to experience which I actually looked forward to was the pool, cause that area was being renovated during my time of stay. Otherwise, it was an excellent experience for me.

Excellent experience! Super friendly staff, good food, good cocktails in the bars, nice vibe in the neighbourhood and cool building. The only negative I can think of is that the doors don't have any rubber/foam insulation, so every time a room or hallway door closes, it makes a lot of noise at night.

Friendly staff. Very clean Rooms. Hotel layout. Breakfasts. Basketball court. Room layout was defective Bathroom functionality was impaired by the weird shower stall placement. Loud music from courtyard going on beyond midnight is not befitting a hotel of this class.

Here’s an updated version that includes the staff: My stay at this hotel was exceptional. The cleanliness was outstanding—every space, from the lobby to the rooms, was spotless and well-kept. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of fresh options each morning. The location was perfect, making it easy to access nearby attractions and move around the city. The amenities were impressive, offering everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Most importantly, the staff were warm, professional, and always willing to help. Their friendliness and attention to detail truly elevated my experience. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and exceptional service.

The air conditioning never really worked after they fixed it and the sink leaked water. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was excellent. They called my in the morning and told me that I had not paid for the reservation yet they checked me in and gave me keys. I am still not sure if I was charged twice.

The hotel was perfectly fine, well located, and the room was clean and spacious. The staff was mostly friendly. Two issues I want to raise were the breakfast service and the decision to put an able bodied person in an accessible room when it was not specifically requested. On my first morning, I used the in-room tablet to order an “American” breakfast. Not only did it take over an hour, when the person arrived, she only had my coffee juice and eggs. Something about the hotels system does not register the entire breakfast after it asks about specific selections. She then had to put in for the other items which, of course, took longer. Finally, I requested bacon (pork) and she returned with chicken sausage explaining that because the hotel had Muslim guests, there wasn’t any pork on the premises. However, I don’t eat chicken which I could have told her if she had asked and not assumed the substitution would be ok. Needless to say, I didn’t get breakfast ever again. Secondly, I was assigned an accessible room, but did not request it. For reasons that make sense for a non-abled bodied person, gone shower, sink and toilet are all open with no dividers. This means every time I took a shower the entire space, including the toilet, sink and entire floor was wet. This was a major inconvenience during my stay, and I would have preferred a standard room since I didn’t actually need any accommodations. While the hotel was a decent value for the money, I likely wouldn’t stay there again.

I have been traveling to Rwanda for about 15 years. Due to the location of my friends, I have always needed to stay on the eastern or south eastern side of the city. This has greatly limited my choices for hotels. In the past, I have stayed at the legacy hotel, which was always a near disaster. However, this year when I looked on Hotels.com, I noticed a new hotel. So I booked a week here in January 2026. Nice stay here was bittersweet. I very much liked the staff, and they did their best to correct some problems. First, I will outline the good points. The room was clean. The food was excellent. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The room was a bit small however it was well appointed. Now for the negatives. Unfortunately, this negative is my number one priority and that is the air conditioning. If you were gonna book at this hotel, you need to be aware of a problem. I should tell you that the hotel is aware of this problem and has assured me that they will try to correct this. In order to save energy every room is equipped with motion detector. Unfortunately, that motion detector is connected to the air-conditioning. So if you were in the room and you were laying down and you don’t move for 15 minutes, the air-conditioning shuts off. I alerted the engineering staff to this problem, and one of the very capable people came and hardwired the box to bypass the motion detector. However, this was only done in room 222. So you need to be aware of this problem.
