This property is brand new. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of staff working. You can tell they have been properly trained! All employees were friendly, kind, helpful, and went above and beyond. The restaurant and bars are beautiful and welcoming. Pool area is calming and lovely. The property is very nice. However, they need to work on a lot of their customer service. I was told twice we would have adjoining rooms and they were not able to accommodate the request. Also, the service at the restaurant was incredibly slow for dinner and as well as for breakfast the next morning. Once they work through the kinks the hotel will be at the customer service level one expects at a property like this.

This charge was not shown and communicated when we were booking the room on the Expedia site nor were we told upon check-in. We only found out when we were checking out and were asked to pay the fee.

We stayed at the Appellation Healdsburg this past weekend and really enjoyed the newness and the great service provided by the hotel and staff. As you'd expect with any new hotel, there were a lot great things including the food, evenings by the many great firepits, and the beds (which were super comfortable!). A few things however on our wish list include more food options for the pool menu, as it was confusing that you can order also from the restaurant menu but it was a different menu that you needed to ask for. Also, wish the pool was heated as it seemed way to cold for most to go in. Lastly, there was leftover dirty plates from room service that was sitting outside the rooms from when we checked in to the next morning. Overall, a great experience albeit a few growing pains. We will be back!
