I was only staying overnight but after arriving I wish I could have stayed longer! It’s a peaceful setting, super clean, and has a cozy mountain vibe that I loved. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and check-in was a breeze. The room I had was small but pet-friendly and had everything I could need for a relaxing stay. The location was great as well with a major grocery store at the bottom of the hill not to mention a quick trip into town for food or fun. Would absolutely recommend it would stay again.

Was nervous about the check in process, since the link and code came only an hour or so before check in and we didn’t have great cell phone service or wifi at the restaurant we ate at in town so the connection use the link was extremely slow. We would have liked to have received the link for verification the day before and code once room was ready. Understanding check in time. Response to my requests for kcups, toilet paper, etc was excellent via text. Location was good close to hike, Main Street and golf.

There is no staff on sight and the common rooms were sad and run down. The room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable. No tv stations are available. I left a bag behind and when I messaged the app, I got no reply. Customer service doesn’t exist. Not walkable into town at night. Seems a bit dicey.

Great place to stay, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was great to have and was well stocked with the basics. Didn’t use the laundry but it was nice. Would stay again. Strange that there wasn’t a blind or curtain on the entry door, also we had one gentleman that was going to be a future guest, to walk in but it was completely an accident. We should have had the door locked.

Such lovely attention to detail in the rooms. Wild Rest was a true gem of a stop during a long weekend spent hiking and exploring the area. The rocking chairs on the patio were great for evenings spent outside.

We were traveling into town for business and I happened upon this hotel when searching for accommodations. Wildrest was such a sweet, cozy, and comfortable cabin for our stay, with modern amenities! I was enchanted by this property. Having a pool, bar, restaurant was much less important than sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch with a blanket. The property was beautiful. I really enjoyed talking to the manager. He was very helpful and gave me information on the history of the property. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. I will be staying here again when in Waynesville. An absolutely beautiful property.

What a treasure! Great location! I know this is a work in progress, but the property is on it's way! We were so glad they kept a lot of the original features like wood paneling, windows, and stone! The additions are fun and bring it up to date. We slept so well!!! Quiet and peaceful. We look forward to staying again.

There is no one on duty at the motel, as everything is handled by phone. Our check-in information was supposed to be sent 15 minutes before check-in, but we had to call to receive it. Communication was difficult due to a language barrier, but we eventually received the information and accessed our room. The room was small but cozy, comfortable, and clean, and the internet was fast. However, the walls were paper-thin. At midnight, we had to knock on the neighboring room’s door and ask them to turn down their TV. Our biggest concern was that if a serious issue had occurred, there was no staff on-site to assist us.

We enjoyed the stay. The pictures of the listing were a little confusing. There is a picture of a large table in what looks like a common area where you might could get a coffee or go to sit and relax but I did not see such a place. Room was cozy and comfortable and the location was 3 minutes from downtown. We would stay again. One issue we had was the fee for our pet. I called and the person told me on the phone $66 for the pet fee. When I went to pay the pet fee it was $78. They need to get their communications straight.

A very secluded, private park-like setting in a quiet residential neighborhood. The old lodge and rooms have been thoughtfully and beautifully restored. I'd stay here every time vs a hotel. The value was superior.

Can only speak of our unit, as there are multiple, small units on the property. Small, but clean and comfortable. An older property, but updated nicely. Really like the option of interior opening of windows, to let cool, natural air in. No personal interaction with any staff, but readily available by phone as any need arised.
