Great room with a beautiful view of the river and the city. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was available, but like everywhere in downtown areas, very tight spots. The only issue was there was no access to the parking lot from the inside of the hotel; they have to open the garage door for you, so plan not to have access to your car unless you absolutely need it.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay, had a room with a view of the river bridges and minster. 15 minutes tops walk from the station to the hotel, so handy, same to walk to the centre of the city, lots of choices of food and bars in the evening. Breakfast was really enjoyable and the staff were on top of organisation and maintaining the food on offer, we'd happily return, thank you

Friendly helpful staff. Food was very good for this star rating. Lovely cooked breakfasts and evening meals. All areas were clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom required updating but on the plus side loads of hot water. We stayed for a long weekend and due to hot weather needed the bedroom window open overnight. The street noise was pretty bad. On a positive note great location for all York has to offer. Very pleasant stay.

The bathroom is in desperate need of a makeover. The cleaning was acceptable overall, but the curtains were covered in spiders at the top, so more attention to detail is definitely required. The quality of the breakfast was excellent, although the variety was quite limited. The mattress is exceptionally comfortable, and the linens are truly lovely. The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from everything, and for a small upgrade, you can enjoy a stunning river view.
